Vatican warns of Danger from Charlie Charlie Challenge

Father José Antonio Fortea Cucurull, the Vatican’s famous exorcist has come out warning of the dangers from the Charlie Charlie Challenge.

The Spanish priest said that calling on spirits could end in badly and is warned people against taking part in the newest viral craze.

He said, “Some spirits who are at the root of that practice will harass some of those who play the game.”

He went on to say that it’s unlikely that kids would be possessed, but that demons could “stay around for a while” after the challenge has been finished.

Father José added that summoning Charlie WILL result in other spirits beginning to enter into even more frequent communication with those participating.

“And so then the person really can suffer much worse consequences from the demons,” he said.

This Charlie Charlie Challenge has swept the world via social media since it went viral last week.

The game is simple, and is played by placing two pencils on a paper in the shape of a X, then writing the words yes and no inside the four corners.

Players then must repeat the words, “Charlie, Charlie are you here”.

Most players are not taking the game seriously, and an American priest has warned everybody playing, “there is no such thing as innocently playing with demons” in a letter he sent to parents at a Catholic School.

Another expert, Dr. Valter Cascioli, from the International Association of Exorcists, said a large numbers of bishops and cardinals are very concerned and are inquiring as how to battle against demons and evil spirits.

“It’s becoming a pastoral emergency,” Cascioli said to the Catholic News Agency.

“At the moment the number of disturbances of extraordinary demonic activity is on the rise.”

Still don’t believe? Here are some stories from successful players of the Charlie Charlie Challenge.

A poster named Scarlett said, I did it with my friends at school but it didn’t work so when I got home that day I did it.

“That night I woke up around 3am and I went toilet. I looked to my parents’ room and there was a huge black spider. I got scared and closed the door so it didn’t go in my room. I turned around and there it was.

“A black figure standing in front of my door. I couldn’t move it felt like I was frozen. I wanted to scream but nothing came out. After a while it finally left and went through my bed.

“I ran to my sister’s room and started crying so bad. The rest of the night felt like I was being watched and I hated it.”

Arianna Lynn from Ohio believes she met a young boy after summoning the demon.

Telling us, “My TV turned on and started static with weird noises, maybe talking, I couldn’t understand.”

“Then it just turned off with a loud ringing then stopped completely and I couldn’t get my TV back on for 30 minutes. It was strange.”

Later she heard the voice of a young boy saying, “why didn’t you help me” and “save them now”.

And a boy from Missouri has died mysteriously after playing the game. The boy asked Charlie “Am I going to die today?”

The pencil moved to the “yes” box and about a minute later, the boy who started sputtering and choking and died.

Witnesses said, “It’s like he had just dropped dead. We found nothing in his throat and I don’t think he had a throat or anything of that nature. It really is scary, I’m not usually a superstitious person, but with what his friends told us…it makes you wonder.”
