Suspected Sighting of Black Eyed Child in Cannock

A team of ghost hunters on a stake out in Cannock Chase, Staffordshire England claim to have filmed the infamous Black Eyed Child ghost.

The team including Tom Buckmaster spent 6 hours searching for paranormal activity in the local woods before they captured what they say is the image of the spectre.

Tom said, “It looks like a child dressed in white, you can see the legs moving as it walks.”

“I didn’t even know I had captured the ghost until I went over the footage and thought, ‘What the hell was that?'”

While hard to make out you can clearly see white image in the film which seems to about 5 meters away.

The clip has many captions explaining what we are seeing, one says, ‘Watch how the figure holds its own source of light within the darkness of the woods.’

And another one said, ‘The body of a living person would not carry its own light source in the pitch black woods like this.’

‘This is the best visual evidence we have EVER caught.’

The footage was taken on October 10th in Cannock Chase where there have several sightings of the Black Eyed Child last year at this time another it’s not known if this is a coincident of a pattern with this ghost.

Witnesses last year claimed to have heard a child giggling and cries for help, with some locals believing that the ghost is from one of the kids buried in unmarked graves after dying in a local workhouse.

Black Eyed Child Ghost Photographed With Kids

Michelle Mason, 39, from Stoke-on-Trent, in England, was shocked when she looked at the pictures she had taken of her kids after spotted a ghostly face in the bottom corner.

Saying that she and her kids, Sophia and Lee, were on an outing when she took their picture as they were climbing a tree, in an area called Cannock Chase which is famous for sightings of the Black Eyed Child.

Looking at the photos later she spotted the ghostly face in the bottom right corner which she believes is certainly the black eyed child ghost.

“We were on a family walk one afternoon and the kids decided to climb a tree. I stopped to take a photo but it wasn’t until I got home that I spotted a child’s face looking back at me,” Michelle said.

“I couldn’t believe it when I looked closer at the picture and there was a child, standing with a wheel or a hoop in their hand. It has really freaked me out. I don’t like anything like that.”

“I would love to know more about the child in the picture. I am convinced it is a ghost, possibly from the Victorian times.”

“When you look closely at the photo you can see the deep dark eyes. It definitely bares a striking resemblance to the black-eyed child that has been spotted around Cannock Chase.”

“I don’t think it looks evil though, or like it wants to cause any harm to my children. They were both a bit spooked by it at first, but any child would be.”

“I would love to find out more about the history of that area and if there are any experts who can help me out. It is a fascinating subject.”

“I have had a lot of feedback from people, and it is split pretty evenly between people thinking it is a little boy or a little girl.”

“Different people have spotted different things, such as a hand holding a hoop or a stick. Everyone sees differently I think depending on what they believe”.

“Some people have said that I must have used Photoshop but I couldn’t tell you the first thing about that, I have no idea how to use anything like that. I just took the photo on our family compact camera.”

“But that is most likely just people who are skeptical or don’t believe in the afterlife, that is always the first thing they say.”
