Lizard Stuffed Animal
This happened when my mother and I were living with my grandparents (I don’t remember how old I was, maybe 5). To let you know, my grandfather built this home and had been living on this farm for about year before building this house.
Anyway, my mother had gone out with friends for that Saturday night and bought me a large, gecko like lizard stuffed animal. Holding it for the first time, I got a strange I didn’t understand, and I didn’t like it. My mother got a little angry, and told me appreciate what she had gotten me.
That night, I stuffed it all the way down into the hamper that held all of my other stuffed animals. My mother and I shared a bed, and the hamper was on my side. I went to bed as usual, but I woke up that night around 1am or so and the lizard was up right in the hamper, looking dead at me, not moving or anything.
It terrified me, but I somehow went back to sleep.
That morning I told my mother about it, and she reassured me that it was only a dream. The day went on normally.
That night I woke up again, the lizard standing at the foot of the bed, watching me again. I quickly shut my eyes, trembling in fear with my eyes starting to tear up. Not ten minutes later, I open my eyes again to see the stuffed animal standing right where my head was. I didn’t move, I couldn’t move as it stared at me, and I stared at it. I’m not sure how long this went on, but suddenly it moved, hitting me on the head and stomach. I coughed and felt myself fall off of the bed. Once I was on the ground, crying, I saw the lizard laying on the ground with me, as if it fell with me. My mother didn’t wake up from me falling.
When I fell, I didn’t fall onto my stomach or my head, but on my side. I had a bruise in both places where I felt the lizard hit me.
I didn’t tell my mom, not wanting her to tell me it was a dream. I tried locking the stuffed animal between the glass doors of the patio, hoping it would stay there and leave me alone. My grandfather gave it back to me later that day.
That night I was so scared to fall asleep, trying to stay up as long as I could, but I eventually crashed. That night, I woke up again, the lizard on the bed, at my feet. It didn’t do anything, just stared. I started to calm down, but I suddenly heard a deep whisper that wasn’t like any of my family’s voices. It was kinda muffled, like it was behind fabric or something. I think it said something like “don’t tell”
I told my mom what happened that night and the night before, and she burned the stuffed animal. But, even with her burning it, I often have that same dark energy around me.
I’m not sure if all of that was a dream, but it still scares me to this day.
Fuck Yeah Nightmares Mod James: 9/10 That’s a vessel I haven’t heard of being used before. Nice. Thanks for sharing the scares!
