I’ve been asked to do a lot of things as a witch – asked to…

I’ve been asked to do a lot of things as a witch – asked to enchant, help or hurt on commission as if I could be bought – as if witchcraft was the same as groceries.

I’m not being a bitch, I’m attempting to illustrate some people don’t understand what they’re asking when they come with a request.

People seem to think that magic sneaks around every single issue that a human may come across, and makes something impossible work and become easy reality no matter what. It doesn’t – or at least it’s not a guarantee. It can skew the chances, by a little or a lot, depending on both the witch and the circumstance.

But I will say this. When you’re not into killing even small critters for magic, but you’ve been asked to petition Bastet/Pasht to save a sick cat, and you find a fresh dead shrew on a bottle of wine in a cellar, at that point you give up. Got it, ritualistic wine, ritualistic small dead thing, I’ll go gather flowers and candles an’ stuff, we’re obviously making a feast for our feline queen of the good times…

(The cat got better by the way.)
