(Not my photos)

The Grand #Army of the #Republic Memorial Hall & #Museum (sometimes referred to simply as “The GAR Museum”) in Eaton Rapids, #Michigan was constructed in the mid-1880’s as a location for former #UnionArmy #soldiers to meet and socialize after the #American #CivilWar. It was used by veterans of the Union Army until 1956, and then as a hardware #store, dance #school, and #bowling alley before being reopened as a museum in 2013. The Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall & Museum now houses to over 4,700 #historical artifacts and documents relating to the American Civil #War and Grand Army of the Republic, and is rumored to be #haunted. Those visiting the old museum often report encountering the #spirits of former Civil War soldiers and members of the #Women’s Relief Corps which once occupied the building, and others report hearing #DisembodiedVoices or feeling a strange presence, as if being followed by an unseen #entity. On several occasions #paranormal enthusiasts attending ghost tours at the museum at night have even claimed to capture evidence of disembodied voices and whispers on audio recording devices.
