Up in the Scottish Highlands you will find this abandoned Scalan Seminary, that was used a refuge for Catholic monks and today is believed to house the ghost of a former resident.

Neil Robertson, of Tomintoul, took the photo of the ghost and posted it on his Facebook, writing, “The old Scalan seminary in the Braes Of Glenlivet.”

Then added, “Top left hand window reflection? Thoughts.”

In the picture you can see in the second floor window, what looks like the ghostly image of a hooded monk.

Although there is no known deaths of any monks in the old Seminary, it was used as a place of refuge from the 18th century priests trying to escape being hunted and murdered by government soldiers.

It’s believed there was one death in the old building, that of a teacher called John Paterson who died there of natural causes in 1783.

The remote building lies up in the hills, and can only be reached by a half-mile walk up a rough farm road.

WOW! This is totally awesome!! Excellent picture showing a real ghost. I believe ghosts are all around us. There has been so much evidence to support the fact that they exist!
