So this has nothing to do with my blog but it was so exciting to me. I LOVE alligators! They are one of my favorite animals. This guy in the picture that I’m holding is a rescue from a skin/meat farm. All of the alligators at The Alligator Attraction in Madeira Beach, FL are rescued and taken care of until they’re bigger. Once they’re too big to remain at that location they are sent to sanctuaries where they will love for the rest of their lives. For “working” (being handled) the alligators will get treats when their day is over. They’re well taken care of and the facility is pretty cool. They also currently have a caiman and a Nile crocodile, small one and two year old alligators, as well as tortoises, arachnids and amphibians, fish, stingrays, rabbits, a hedgehog, and four pigs!

I already knew a decent amount about alligators, but I did learn yesterday that out of the 30-50 eggs laid in a nest, usually only one makes it to adulthood. They grow slowly so everything picks them off including but not limited to birds, turtles, fish, and other alligators.

The Midnight Man

So yesterday I discovered this movie on Hulu. I was ecstatic because I was bored and didn’t know what to do with myself and wasn’t in the mood to write about a serial killer, nor did I have a paranormal experience to share. So I watched it.

The movie was just very cheesy. There were maybe two points that I was creeped out. One out of those two made me jump. Other than that, the rest of the movie was not so interesting.

Let’s just say I was disappointed. The idea of the game is that you invite the Midnight man into your home just before the stroke of midnight and once he’s there you have to avoid him for the next three hours and thirty three minutes. If he gets too close your candle will go out and you have to relight it within a certain amount of time. If you don’t, he’ll kill you by using your worst fears against you. You can try to protect yourself with a circle of salt because salt wards off evil spirits, but the Midnight Man doesn’t like to lose. He’ll bend the rules in order to win. You can’t leave the house and you can’t stay in the same spot for too long. Now, I would personally never play this game, it honestly sounds terrifying and my imagination is vivid enough without trying to stay away from a demon that is literally hunting me.

Would you or have you played “The Midnight Man” game? If so tell me why you decided to play/why you would play and what happened!

*picture is not from the movie.

My mom told me she tried to call a stray dog over the other day. It was a coyote. 😂

I learned something new today about Ted Bundy that I didn’t find during my research. I’m currently in the middle of watching Conversation with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes. In the third episode they discuss Bundy’s first and second escape.

His first was really quite interesting. He started by repeatedly jumping off of the top bunk, his bunk, in the prison cell, which he did in order to strengthen the muscles in his legs. He also paced and walked around the prison in order to train his body to walk long distances. When his court date came he was sitting in a library like room reading books about law because he claimed that he still planned to finish his education and become “a damn good lawyer”. While the guards weren’t watching him and having no handcuffs or anything to keep him in custody, he opened the second floor window, jumped, and took off into the woods of Aspen, Colorado. He stayed in a cabin for at least one evening where he ate and drank. He was caught just under a week later because he walked back into town, stole a car that was unlocked and had the keys in the ignition, and ended up getting pulled over by an officer. He was then brought back into custody. He called a man named Carlisle who was a therapist that Bundy had met during his first arrest and guilty verdict. His sentence carried one to fifteen years for attempted kidnapping. Carlisle was meant to determine whether or not Bundy was violent and give his opinion about whether or not he could be released on probation. He decided against probation rather quickly. Bundy called Carlisle and spoke to him for about fifteen minutes all to ask him how he perceived his escape. Bundy described his week in the cold, wet, mountain as an extraordinary experience.

In his second escape, Ted Bundy ate less food until he dropped enough weight to fit through a hole in his ceiling. The hole led to a police officers apartment that happened to be just above his cell. He placed various things in his bed to make it seem like he was there sleeping, slipped through the hole in the ceiling, put on some of the guard’s clothing, and walked right out of prison.

He eluded the police for forty six days, brutally killing and sexually molesting six women at Florida State University. On day forty six he was apprehended after a high speed chase in my hometown, Pensacola, Florida.

Tired…

I’m just tired. I’ve been working 55+ hours per week, cleaning, cooking, running errands, taking care of the pets, and everything in between. I haven’t posted in awhile. Hopefully I’ll have a little time off soon and I can share a snippet from my future master piece that I have hidden away.
