Boys in my Bedroom?

mom-pants submitted:

I’ve moved around a lot, but for the past 5 or so years, I’ve lived in the same house. This house has caused me a lot of trouble, but today, I’m going to tell you about my bedroom in particular. There are three or so instances of similar events.

First, I was maybe about 9. My mom has always suffered from chronic illness and every few months, she gets violently sick for 4 or 5 days at a time. When she gets sick, my dad normally sleeps on the couch so she could have the bed to herself. For some reason, though, my dad decided to sleep in my bed that night, and I would sleep in the couch. I think maybe because my bed was wider than the couch, and my dad is a pretty big man. Everything was fine and we all went to bed. Around 6 the next morning, my dad came out of my room terrified. He had said that he woke up to a hot breath on his face. When he opened his eyes, he said that there was a sheer, black sheet over his face, and he felt like he was being pinned down. He didn’t sleep in my room after that, and sometimes he has trouble coming in, even during the day.

About a year or so later, my sister came to live with us after moving out of her dad’s house. We changed all the furniture around in my bedroom, so we now had bunk beds. I slept on the top and she slept on the bottom. The bottom bunk could fold from a couch to a full size mattress, so it was big enough for two people. She really isnt important to this story, but the bunk beds are.

Sometimes, when my sister wasn’t home, my brother and his wife would stay with us. Normally, the two of them would sleep on the bottom bunk and I’d sleep in my bunk on top. On my sister laws birthday, her and I went out for the day, we spent the day at a water resort with her family and then stayed the night at a local motel. Around 4am, my sister in law gets a frantic call from my brother. He said that when he woke up, he couldn’t open his eyes and no noise would come from his mouth. He also said he felt like he was being pinned down to the bed. He’d slept in my room plenty of times before, with either my sister in law or I in the room sleeping, and this had never happened before. Hes slept in my room alone once since then, years later, and recalls the same events.

This is the most recent, and the first time since the event with my brother. It has been almost 7 years since the incident with my brother happened. My boyfriend and I were laying in my bed, I told him I was going to go shower, and he could go to sleep if he’d liked. I didn’t think about the other things that had happened in the room, because it’d been so long, but it’d also been a long time since a boy slept in my room alone. He fell asleep, presumably. I showered, dried my hair and went through my regular night routine, all of which was in the bathroom down the hall. After about 45 minutes, I went back in my room. I found him freaking out. He had told me that while he was sleeping on the bottom bunk, he felt a heavy weight on his chest. He tried to move, but it wouldn’t let him. When he opened his eyes, he saw this black figure hovering above him. He said it stayed there for a long time, and it didn’t move away until I opened my door and came in.

My cousins have both slept in my room when I was away on trips. They’re both boys, and the older one says that he has seen black things fly around the room while hes been in there. My younger cousin says he doesn’t like to sleep on the bottom bunk because it scares him. I have never personally seen anything in my room. It’s only when there are boys or men alone in my room without a girl. When there’s a girl in the room, whether it be my sister, my sister in law, or I, these things never happen.

FYNK James: 7/10 It sounds sorta like sleep paralysis but it’s interesting because it all happens in the same bed and not all the men are related. Thanks for sharing the scares!
